Fiori Dental San Mateo – COVID-19 Protocols

Please review our new COVID- 19 policies below.

1.)  Prior to your dental appointment, we will be sending an email with a link to online forms to be filled out.  These forms help us to prescreen anyone who enters our office.  Please be sure to fill these forms out prior to your arrival in our office.

2.)  If you are sick, have a cough, cold, fever, chills, runny nose, or loss of taste or smell,  please call and cancel your appointment as soon as possible.  We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

3.)  Please wear a face mask or face covering when entering our office.  Be sure to bring one with you to your appointment.  Children under the age of 12 do not need a face covering at this time.

4.)  We will have a drive-up service available for check-in.  Please enter our driveway from the San Mateo Drive entrance and stop in front of our office.  A Fiori Team member will greet you from the curbside.  If a Fiori Team Member is not available outside, please park your car and call our office to confirm that you have arrived.  We will confirm with you via phone or text when you can enter our office.

5.)  A Fiori Dental Team member will ask you prescreening questions and take your temperature prior to entering the office (either at drive-through check-in or prior to walking you back into the treatment room).

6.)  We will be limiting the number of patients and people in our office at a time.  If you are a caretaker of a patient or are a parent of a child, you will be asked to wait in your car until treatment for the patient has been completed.

7.)  We will be eliminating our communal coffee bar and fresh muffins at this time.  We will be happy to provide you with a bottle of water if you request.

8.)   Prior to any dental treatment, a Fiori Dental Team member will ask you to wash your hands with soap and water and do a pre-rinse for 30 seconds.  Additionally, hand sanitizer is available throughout the office for your convenience.

9.)  Fiori Dental has always looked into technology in reducing infection, cross-contamination, and aerosols and has used a device called the Isolite for many years.  We will be implementing this tool even more for many of our procedures that create an aerosol.

10.)  Fiori Dental has worked hard to streamline our systems and create digital efficiency in our office these past few years.  We will be using our digital system, even more, to send our patients their treatment plans, consent forms, or any other documents via email that previously needed to be signed with paper.  This will help in reducing additional contact and cross-contamination between individuals.

11.)  We now have contactless payment via our online portal!  Our patients have the ability to pay their copays, statements, or balances prior to or after their appointment by visiting our website at FioriDental.com and clicking the “Make an Online Payment” tab.
